Hong Kong’s aviation regulator lifted its ban on the Boeing Co. 737 Max, allowing airlines to resume flights almost three years after the jet was grounded, Bloomberg reported. The move represents an advancement for Boeing as it seeks to get the 737 Max back into full service.

General Motors Co. said it will invest $154 million in a components plant to produce an important part in future electric vehicles, the Detroit Free Press said. GM said the Lockport Components plant, in western New York, will build the electric motor stator module.

Intel picked Ohio as the site of a new chip manufacturing site, The New York Times said. The move comes as various manufacturing industries, including automotive, grapple with a shortage of semiconductors. Intel said that the new site near Columbus would initially have two chip factories and would directly employ 3,000 people.
