Ford Motor Co. said it will stop manufacturing vehicles in India "because it does not see a path to profitability in the country," Reuters reported. The move represents another retrenchment for the U.S.-based automaker. Ford entered the Indian market a quarter-century ago but still has less than 2 percent of that nation's vehicle market.

Boeing Co. "must face a shareholder lawsuit" claiming that its board of directors didn't properly monitor safety matters related to the 737 Max, the Wall Street Journal reported. That was the result of a ruling by a Delaware judge. The 737 Max was grounded in 2019 following two fatal crashes. "Boeing, which had sought to dismiss the case before it advanced, can appeal the judge’s ruling," the Journal said.

CNC machine tool supplier Methods Machine Tools said it will host open houses at two facilities in the southwestern United States. They will be Oct. 5 and 6 at the company's Phoenix technical center and Oct. 6 and 7 at its Los Angeles technical center.
